Young people

Tuesday 25th June 2019.  BBC RADIO 4 ‘Today programme’.

John Humphrys was interviewing Sir Peter Lampl of the Sutton Trust (founded 1997).  John Humphrys was talking about how to prepare students for success when they leave secondary schools.

John Humphrys asked Mr Lampl: “Is there a magic formula?”

To which Mr Lampl replied: “Independent schools do two things; they get good results, but what kids really get is essential life skills like articulacy, confidence, ambition. If I could do one thing, it would be to get that stuff into the state system.”

I am passionate about helping young people to communicate more effectively.

Together with Working Voices I am delivering courses in my local state secondary schools.
